TASTING NOTES
Light ruby color. Aroma with good complexity, highlighting notes of ripe black fruit, shrubby nuances and olive paste, spices such as pepper and cloves, a slight sous-bois and discreet, well-integrated wood. On the palate, it has a lively attack, good volume, well-rounded tannins, spices and a finish of great elegance and longevity.

VINIFICATION
Grapes are selected from less “representative” varieties in the Douro region, as well as from old vines, from plots in our Quintas and from some winegrowers who have worked with us for many years. After destemming, the grapes are sent to stainless steel vats, where the alcoholic fermentation takes place. A long, gentle
maceration in order to extract the compounds that contribute to the wine’s color, aroma and flavor.

STORAGE AND SERVING TIPS
STORE bottle horizontally. Ready to drink but with a good capacity to evolve in the bottle. Optimum drinking time varies according to the wine. ideally from 2-3 years after the harvest date (on the label).
SERVE Serve directly from the original bottle. It can form sediment after 2 years and should therefore be decanted. Recommended temperature: 16oC to 18oC. Consume within 24 hours of opening.

Ideal with meat, game and cheese dishes.
